As part of our year of beef encounters, we are embarking on a mission to discover delicious beef recipes for summer. Whether that means picnic-perfect, barbecue-ready, or the ultimate crowd-pleaser, we’re looking to create original recipes that’ll get you excited for the sunny season and eager to recreate at home.
What better way to do this than with the help of the UK’s top food bloggers?! Experimental and innovative chefs, with a knack for creating unique twists on classic ingredients, together we’ve created new foodie experiences, whilst once again demonstrating the diverse nature of beef. Meet the bloggers taking part below.
THE LONDON FOODIE
Italian-Japanese Brazilian chef Luiz left a career in finance to pursue his passion for food and drink. He has since become a specialist in Japanese cuisine and an authoritative voice on the London dining scene. The supper club he runs from his Islington home centres around Japanese and Nikkei cooking and he regularly writes food and travel features for other publications.
THE PETITE COOK
Italian food-lover Andrea started her blog to document her “adventurous foodie life.” A keen cook, she learnt the ropes through working in the restaurant business, though not in the kitchen itself. A fan of making as much as possible from scratch, her food aims to promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle. In addition, Andrea also enjoys combining traditional dishes with inspiration from her global adventures.
THE CRAZY KITCHEN
Entrepreneur Helen describes her children as “always hungry”, providing part of the reason for starting her food and family blog. Her original recipes and blog centre around the idea of “everyday food for the everyday family”. This includes an equal split between cooking and baking, as well as sweet and savoury.
A MUMMY TOO
Emily Leary’s award-winning blog combines her passion for food, family and photography. As well as developing and testing original family-friendly recipes, Emily shares culinary top tips, video guides and lifestyle content. Her food ranges from one-pot midweek suppers to seasonal specials, and with over 350 online recipes , there’s something for everyone.
CHARLOTTE’S LIVELY KITCHEN
Charlotte’s blog, started simply as a way to record her recipes, has an emphasis on fun and experimentation. Visit her blog to see classic ingredients replaced by the unexpected, innovative flavour combinations, and mouth-watering options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
THE FOOD URCHIN
Danny describes himself as “a food adventurer, an enthusiastic allotmenteer, a supper club host and the writer of the entertaining and quirky epicurean blog, Food Urchin. When I am not busy digging holes to pit-roast lamb or hanging or hanging marrows in tights to make rum or foraging for snails in my garden to throw into paella, I am often left in charge of a pair of cheeky twins.” Couldn’t put it better ourselves!
